DTC Retention Lab ("we") is operated by Willemet Consulting, LLC. This page explains what we collect on dtcretentionlab.com, why, and the choices you have. It is written to be read, not skimmed past.
What we collect
Email sign-ups
When you request the Retention Flow Audit Checklist or join the newsletter, we collect your email address and, if you give it, your first name. The form is provided by Klaviyo, which stores this data on our behalf. We use it to send you the download you asked for and a weekly email about new videos. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately.
Website analytics
We use a privacy-respecting analytics tool to count page views and see which pages people read. [Placeholder: name the tool before launch, for example Plausible or Fathom, which do not use cookies or track individuals. If you use Google Analytics instead, say so here and add a consent banner.]
Embedded videos
Videos are embedded from YouTube using the privacy-enhanced domain (youtube-nocookie.com). YouTube may still set cookies when you press play. YouTube's own privacy policy applies to the player.
Partner links
Some links on the Resources page are affiliate links. The partner may set a cookie on their site to credit the referral. We do not receive your personal data from them.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or rent your email address or any other personal data.
- We don't run advertising pixels on this site. [Remove this line if you add Meta or Google ads pixels; then add a consent banner.]
- We don't show client data, customer data or real account screenshots in videos. Demonstrations use demo stores with fictional data.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe: use the link in any email, or write to us.
- Access, correction, deletion: email us and we'll handle it within 30 days. Klaviyo lets us delete your profile completely.
- Do Not Track: our analytics do not identify individuals, so there is nothing to opt out of beyond the above.
Data location and retention
Klaviyo and our hosting provider (Netlify) store data in the United States. We keep email profiles while you are subscribed and for up to 12 months after you unsubscribe, for suppression purposes, then delete them.
Children
This site is for business owners and marketers and is not directed at anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll update the date above and mention it in the newsletter.
